Orange Running Festival
The Orange Running Festival is owned and operated by the Orange Runners Club and is our major event for the year, now in its 18th year. The festival has grown to attract over 2,000 participants each year and is an iconic event on the NSW running calendar.
The 2024 Festival will be held on March 9th and 10th at Gosling Creek Reserve in Orange. The program includes nine events over the two days.
Saturday afternoon features the five 2K Dash events:
- Community Dash
- Primary Schools Dash, for runners in years K-6
- Secondary School Dash, for runners in years 7-12
- Women’s Dash
- Men’s Dash
The Primary Schools Challenge and High School Challenge are incorporated in the Dash events.
Sunday’s races include the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. The Workplace Challenge forms part of the 5K event on Sunday.
Our aim is to deliver a successful and sustainable annual running festival that is financially viable with the ability to support local organisations where possible. Through the festival, we encourage health and fitness with a strong focus on participation for runners and walkers of all abilities.
The Festival has strong links to the NSW Rural Fire Service, local schools and Scouts and has donated more than $150,000 to local organisations and charities.
All Orange Runners Club members are encouraged to get involved in the planning and running of the festival which would not be possible without the assistance of many dedicated club volunteers.
