Orange Running Festival
The Orange Running Festival is owned and operated by the Orange Runners Club and is our major event for the year. The festival has grown to attract over 2,000 participants each year and is an iconic event on the NSW running calendar.
The 2025 Festival was held on Sunday, 9th March at Gosling Creek Reserve in Orange.
The festival begins with our distance program consisting of the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon along a scenic, all sealed, gently undulating course in the cool climate of Orange.
Starting at 11am, we feature five 2K Dash events – Women’s & Men’s Dashes, Primary School Dash (K-6), Secondary School Dash (7-12), plus the Community Dash.
Our Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K courses have been World Athletics/AIMS certified and are eligible for earning ranking points, and for championships and events requiring qualification times.
Our aim is to deliver a successful and sustainable annual running festival that is financially viable with the ability to support local organisations where possible. Through the festival, we encourage health and fitness with a strong focus on participation for runners and walkers of all abilities.
The Festival has strong links to the NSW Rural Fire Service, Cycling without Age Orange, local schools, Scouts and Air Force Cadets and has donated more than $150,000 to local organisations and charities.
All Orange Runners Club members are encouraged to get involved in the planning and running of the festival which would not be possible without the assistance of many dedicated club volunteers.
