Last Sunday, Orange Runners Club had its regular weekend run at Kinross Lane under crisp and clear conditions, where 76 runners had the choice of 2K, 4.8K and 9.1K distances. The first 3 finishers by gender for each distance are as follows:

2K – Female: Amber Rich (9:23), Teegan Langthorne (16:22) and Kate and Rosie Staniforth (17:31). Male: Lachlan Ross (11:21), Reggie Staniforth (11:58) and David Craig (13:38) .

4.8K – Female: Ella Lamrock (24:38), Alicia Ross (25:36) and Lily Craig (26:20). Male: Alistair Merrifield (23:02), Noah Lamrock (23:07) and Jackson Boucher (23:50).

9.1K – Female: Leanne Corcoran (43:39), Kylie Duncan (49:34) and Alison Spurway 54:41. Male: Iain McLean (40:24), Sam Collins (42:01) and Nick Carney (43:11).

A big thumbs up to all who participated, Josephine Kitto was declared the winner.

On Wednesday , 91 competitors took part in the regular 3 lap handicap event, under muggy conditions. The fastest ladies were Leanne Corcoran (11:55), Ursula Wilson(12:30) and Alicia ross (12:44). The fastest men were Iain McLean (10:21), Anthony Daintith (11:23) and Jackson Boucher (11:33). Fastest lap of the Elephant Park circuit was clocked by Rikky Bangert at 3:25 for his second lap. Many PBs were achieved by Kate Thorton (3s), Iain McLean (3s), Daniel MacCauley (1:22), Belinda MaCauley (12s), Sophie Hogben (14s), Anna Daintith (21s), Kelly Gleeson (13s), David Aseguinolaza (33s), Michael Duncan (4s), Kristine MacLean (10s) and Lachlan Duncan (3s). Well done to all who took part, Lauren Beels was declared the winner.

This Sunday sees the club back at Elephant Park at 9am, where there will be a choice of 1 to 6 laps of the traditional 1.6km route through Moulder Park. This coming Wednesday sees the regular 3-lap handicap event at 5pm.

This weekend just passed saw the 6-foot Trail Marathon in the Blue Mountains, which saw a small contingent of ORC members. Mitch Essex completed the very challenging 43+ km route in 5:07, Alison Broughton in 6:26. Well done guys, you did the club proud!
