Our Sunday run at Jack Brabham Park attracted 57 members. This course was a mix of grass and footpath and was a loop course which was 1.75km. Members could complete 1-6 laps of this course.

For our usual Wednesday run 55 members attended Elephant Park completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three males were Maxwell Horne 11:28, Mark Thomas 12:37 and Adam Thomas 12:39. The top three females were Nicola Blore 13:14, Amy Robinson 13:34 and Kinisha Roweth 14:05.
Achievements medals for this week were presented to Nicola Blore with 100 runs, Jessica Curran with 25 runs, Rosemary Elkington with 50 runs and Olivia Blore with 50 runs.
A congratulations to Angus Finlay, Maxwell Horne, Isobel Curran, Lacey Curran, Amy Robinson and Charlotte Meiring who represented their schools at different levels of cross country. Congratulations to Isobel and Amy for reaching state level of competition. Good luck with your upcoming events and keep up the good work.
Last Saturday the club had another successful trail run on Mitchell’s way, the weather put on a show, and it was a perfect afternoon for a cruise through the bush. The same trail run course, marked with pink flags will be run again this Saturday for any members who wish to attend. Please come prepared for any conditions and run the trail to your ability, it’s all about fun out there!
On Wednesday the 20th July the runners club will be holding a seminar at 6:30pm at the Emu’s Rugby Club. This session will be covering topics including, warm-ups and cool downs, run technique, efficient, fast and injury free, managing injuries and training loads. This seminar is available to ORC club members only. Seats are limited, so please book your seat by emailing orangerunnersclub@outlook.com
This Sunday’s run is a new and exciting course for the club at Ploughmans Wetlands. We hope as many members can attend this run and enjoy it out there. Wednesday’s run will commence at 4:35pm followed by a mass start at 4:45 and please be finished by 5:30pm.
