EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 10th June 2023

73 runners and walkers participated last Sunday in our first winter run of the season. Held at Shiralee Road, members had the choice of 2km, 4km, 6km, 8km, 10km or 12km.

Congratulation’s to Nick Irwin who broke the 2km course record!

For this week’s Wednesday run 83 members attended Elephant Park completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. The top three men were Peter Finlay 10:19, Riley Jenkins 11:17 and Danny Boulton 11:29. The top three women were Isobel Curran 12:37, Kinisha Roweth 14:15 and Alicia Anlezark 14:21.

3km Personal Bests were achieved by Riley Jenkins 11:17 (31 seconds), Matt Alexander 12:14 (17 seconds) and Rachel Charge 15:00 (1 minute 59 seconds).

Achievement medals were awarded to Laura Primrose, Marley Beahan and Lauren Reid with 25 runs, Melissa Smith with 50 runs and Sue Klose with 100 runs.

This Sunday’s run is at Stagecoach Road (off Icely Road) known for it’s stunning scenery and big hills. Members can choose from 2, 3, 5, 8, or 12km.
