Last Sunday, Orange Runners Club had its weekend run at Berrilee Forest. 63 members in attendance had a choice of 4km and 8.1km distances, through the pine forest in frosty conditions. The first three finishers by gender for each distance are as follows:
4k – Men: Noah Lamrock (19:11), Lachlan Ross (19:24) and Jamie Corcoran (19:42). Women: Lily Craig (18:04), Emily Pearson (21:31) and Alison Spurway (21:40).
8.1k – Men: Iain McLean (35:51), David Ross (36:15) and Felix Koeppen (36:21). Women: Leanne Corcoran (38:13), Ursula Wilson (40:23) and Rhianna Fitzpatrick (41:42).
Congratulations to all who participated, Joel Kitto was declared the winner.
The Wednesday afternoon Elephant Park 2.9k handicap event saw 57 competitors take part in chilly, blustery conditions. The fastest men were Mitch Williamson (9:32), Rikky Bangert (10:46), and Elliot Bangert (11:44). The fastest ladies were Leanne Corcoran (12:00) Ella Lamrock (12:50) and Ursula Wilson (13:04). Fastest lap of the 958m circuit was clocked by Mitch Williamson at 3:09. PBs were achieved by Toby Betts (19s), and Jaci Norris (14s). Toby Betts was declared the overall winner. Well done to all who took part.
This Sunday sees the club back at Elephant Park, where members will have a choice of a 1 to 5 laps of the tranquil 1.6k circuit. This event will commence at 9am. As a new additional event, a trail run of around 11k will depart from the Kinross MTB carpark at 7am sharp. Compulsory equipment required – please consult website for details. Please be advised that the Wednesday Handicap Time Trial run at Elephant Park will commence at 4:45pm with a mass start. This Wednesday start time will be in place until the last run in August.
