For our usual Wednesday run 32 members attended Elephant Park in the wet conditions we have been experiencing recently. Members completed 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three men were Jack Daintith 10:08, Nicholas Thomas 11:53 and Brad Simmons 12:30. The top three women were Marley Beahan 15:18, Kim Jarvis 16:08 and Sue Klose 17:08.
Personal bests were achieved by Ben Sullivan by 26 seconds.
Last Sunday was also the Great Volcanic Challenge which was held on Mount Canobolas. This event was a trail run over Canobolas with plenty of terrain to test even the most experienced of trail and mountain runners. Congratulations to all those members who participated in the event and a big thank you to all the volunteers over the mountain supporting competitors throughout the morning.
This Sunday run is at the always beautiful Botanic Gardens, where members have the choice of 1-6 laps of the 1.6km course through the gardens. With all the recent rain we have had, hopefully they will be looking good and ready to welcome our members for a Sunday run.
