It was a very busy morning for Orange Runners Club last Sunday. We had our best ever turnout at a trail run with 34 members taking on the testing Kinross Forest. Well done to David & Alicia Ross and Leanne Corcoran and Iain McLean for their great work behind the scenes. Challenging and scenic!  Placegetters for the two courses were:

Then it was the 9am instalment at Endeavour Oval. Well done to Jenna Boucher (25 runs), Hughie Corcoran (200 runs) and Jack Daintith (600 runs) who were presented with their achievement medals.  Congratulations to Wayne Stewart who was the handicap winner for the day (5.2km in 28:28).

It was hot again on Wednesday afternoon – but we made it all in time before the storm arrived! Congratulations to the very determined Alicia Anlezark on clocking up 50 club runs today. Well done to Hadden Bennett and Jeremy Curtin who ran PB’s this week.  Mr Consistency Simon Lun was the handicap winner running the 3 laps in a time of 13:47.

The Orange Running Festival is coming up very quickly (2-3 March) – perfect time to enter and pay the early bird price (by 3 February).  Plenty of race options for the whole family – 2km, 5km, 10km, half marathon and marathon.  Register online at the festival website (www.orangerunningfestival.com.au).
