EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 4th May 2024

Last Sunday, on what was a beautiful morning for a run, 87 members were out at Emu Swamp Road. The hilly course wasn’t a concern with 4 course records broken! – Congratulations to Amber Rich (Female 3.2km), Milla Jurd (Female 4.6km), Kim Roweth (Female 7.5km) and Nathan Sutherland (Male 10km).

83 members attended this week’s Wednesday run. The top three men were Maxwell Horne 10:27, Hugh Daintith 10:34, Nicholas Thomas 11:16. The top three women were Lucy Jurd 12:34, Joanna McRae 12:48, Sue Dean 13:19.

PB’s this week for Lachlan Haar 12:47 (1min 19seconds), Joanna McRae 12:48 (5seconds), Leanne Pinkstone 16:20 (29seconds), Philip Reed 19:52 (16seconds) and Nicky Kennedy 28:53 (31seconds). Congratulations everyone.

Well done to this week’s achievement medal recipients – Quinn Lingier with 25 runs and Marley Beahan and Melissa Harding both with 100 runs.

Tomorrow’s run is a new one at Mitchells Way – home of the Lonely Mountain Ultra. Distances are 3.2km, 5.2km, 8.3km or 10.3km and all course records are up for grabs!

Together we achieve individual goals.
