EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 4th March 2023

Last Sunday’s run was at Gosling Creek, where 86 members had the choice of 2.3km, 4.6km, 6.9km, 9.2km and 11.6km. Gosling Creek is also the venue for this weekend’s Orange Running Festival for 2023. We hope as many members have signed up for an event and encouraged your family and friends to do the same. This will be a very enjoyable event for the club as well as the community.

Male – Jack Daintith 47:38, Daryl Roweth 57:38, Gareth Thomas 1:04:47

 

For our usual Wednesday run 74 members attended Elephant Park completing 1, 2 or 3 laps in and amongst the thunder and little rain. Top three men were Peter Finlay 10:15, Danny Boulton 10:32 and Iain McLean 11:11. The top three women were Isobel Curran 12:34, Rhianna Hume 13:04 and Nicola Blore 13:05.

Personal bests were recorded by Marley Beahan by 47 seconds, Jennifer Lawrence by 24 seconds, Sharyn Mitselburg by 15 seconds, Jessica Curran by 13 seconds and Catherine Player by 9 seconds.

This Sunday there is no designated club run as the main event for the weekend will be the Orange Running Festival, 4-5 March. On behalf of the club, we wish all competitors the best of luck in your chosen race and most importantly have fun out on course.
