EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 25th February 2023

Last Sunday’s run was at the Baldwin’s property. As a club we were privileged to be welcomed by Basil and Jean for a cross country run and breakfast post run. The choice of distances for members was 3,5,8 and 11.5km.

The fastest in each distance were:

Male – Basil Baldwin 23:38, Ricard Meiring 23:45, Michael Sharp 24:10

Female – Charlotte Meiring 24:38, Alicia Anlezark 27:20, Kinisha Roweth 27:35
Male – Hugh Daintith 25:52, Tim Robinson 29:22, William Robinson 30:57

8km
Female – Jannell Hooper 47:37, Alison Spurway 50:06, Sarah Passey 52:17
Male – Will Hudson 35:45, Mark Thomas 36:30, Luke Hockey 38:04

11.5km
Female – Rhonda Jones 1:19:45 Jennifer Lawrence 1:32:51
Male – Maxwell Horne 56:47, Chris Clough 1:01:45, Mike Cooper 1:06:29

For our usual Wednesday run 82 members attended Elephant Park completing 1, 2 or 3 laps in and amongst the thunder and little rain. Top three men were Maxwell Horne 10:14, Nick Irwin 10:19 and Mitch Williamson. The top three women were Rhianna Hume 13:32, Isobel Curran 13:39 and Jannell Hooper 15:03.

Achievement medals were awarded to Clara Hooper with 25 runs, Catherine Player with 25 runs and Donna Irwin with 75 runs.

Personal bests were recorded by William Robinson 2:30 minutes, Angus Finlay by 4 seconds, Maxwell Horne by 8 seconds, Sophie Charge by 11 seconds, Penny Charge by 3:30 minutes, Ashton Roach by 32 seconds, Mark Goulding by1:45 minutes, Jane Goulding by 1:44 minutes, Blessing Mashavave by 17 seconds and Susan Piggott by 16 seconds.

This Sunday’s run is at Gosling Creek, members have the choice of 2.3km, 4.6km, 8km and 11.6km. We look forward to see you all there.
