No Sunday Club run with the Bathurst CSU half marathon and 10km races taking place, but 4 keen (some would say crazy) runners turned up at Elephant Park at 9am in freezing conditions anyway, to have a bit of a run. Michelle Whiteley, Jane Fairgrieve, John West and Bill Fairgrieve enjoyed a slight improvement in the weather just as they started to do a lap or two around the track.

To the Bathurst CSU 10km event on Sunday and ORC runners dominated this race with Mitch Williamson the overall winner for the fourth time, in the impressive time of 32:34 to finish almost 3 minutes clear of another ORC member Nathan Sutherland. Making it a family double, Nicole Williamson ran a strong 41:53 to take out the womens race for the first time after beating home sister Carrie (44:46) who finished in second place overall in the ladies and also won her own age group. Also coming 1st in their age groups were: Wayne Stewart (48:43), Stephanie Harrison (50:30) & Glennys Rosser (69:42). Doing well and picking up 2nd place in their age groups Jack Daintith (44:22) and Russell Tym (52:45). Securing a 3rp placing in their relavent age categories were David Craig (48:26), Graham Fahy (54:01), Amanda Gregor (54:46) and Judy Tarleton (62:21).

In the half marathon, Mark Chapman was the best placed of the ORC runners finishing 3rd in his age group in a excellent time of 91:34. Leanne Corcoran (93:57) also had a great run to be the 4th fastest female home and 2nd in her age category. Other strong performances were put in by Kate Brien (105:26) 1st in age category, Brian Sharp (108:19) 1st in age category, Lynda Chapman (137:21) 2nd in age category and Ursula Wilson (95:44) 3rd in age category. Mike ‘John Bowmer’ Cooper ran the half marathon but was recorded as a 10km runner, but would have won his age category in the half marathon with a strong time of 97minutes.
