Our normal Wednesday run at Elephant Park was cancelled last week due to the weather conditions and the conditions of the course being unsuitable and unsafe for our members. Hopefully with some fine weather, we will all be back at the park next Wednesday.

Achievement Medals this week were awarded to Alison Spurway with an awesome 500 runs.

Last Saturday the 5th of November several ORC members attended the inaugural Bondi to Manly Ultra event in Sydney, this was a, 80km running event. Four teams of four, from our hometown adventured to the big city to take part in the relay event. Each section was near enough to the 20km mark and from all reports the stairs were a real test for all. Overall, the atmosphere, mateship and teamwork of all involved got these teams of legends across the line. All teams finished the event in under 9 hours which is an amazing effort as well as all individual efforts put it. The training and hard work paid off for everyone in Sydney. Congratulations to all involved on behalf of the ORC.

This Sunday’s run is at Berrilee Forest where members have the choice of 2,4,8.1 and 12km courses. This is a gravel course, and it does have some climbing involved but the views are well worth it as well as the forest feeling of the run overall.
