EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 14th May 2022

Last Sunday, 57 members ran one of our favourite tracks at Clergate, where the skies gave us a few clouds, but it didn’t rain on our parade.
The placegetters in each distance were:

3km

Female – Isobel Curran 15:15, Lacey Curran 15:20, Jessica Curran 15:21.
Male – Baden Curran 15:51, Simon Lun 24:09, George Rutledge 34:29.

5km
Female – Kelly Gleeson 24:47, Kinisha Roweth 25:03, Sally Postma 29:22.
Male – Hugh Daintith 22:23, Blake Gleeson 22:34, Tony Fitzpatrick 24:19.

7.5km
Female – Claire Gates 41:36, Sue Klose 45:58, Rhonda Jones 50:05.
Male – Mike Cooper 41:53, Anthony Daintith 59:04, Michael O’Mara 1:04:40.

10km
Female – Nicola Blore 48:38, Ayako Kusui 56:28, Alison Spurway 1:01:11.
Male – Jack Daintith 41:26, Luke Hockey 44:34, Chris Clough 46:57.

 

For our usual Wednesday run, the rain came down and 29 members jumped through puddles around Elephant Park completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three males were Peter Finlay 10:16, Jack Daintith 10:18 and Luke Hockey 11:55. The top three females were Alicia Anlezark 14:24, Kim Jarvis 15:17 and Sue Klose 15:51. Well done to the brave souls that still got out there. A personal best was achieved this week by Melissa Harding knocking off 3 seconds.

This Sunday’s run is at Bargwanna Road and is a NO WATCH run! Members must run without a watch or timing device. You must start between 8:30 and 9am and the distances marked out will be 3km, 5km and 10km. This Sunday is also bring a friend. Bring someone along that isn’t a member to go into the draw to win $200.

Wednesday runs will commence at 4pm and you can run any time after that as long as you are finished by 5:30pm.
