EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 7th May 2022

Thank you to all the members who attended our AGM on Thursday night. Congratulations and thank you to those with new roles.With a change to Jack Brabham last Sunday due to the weather, 55 members enjoyed the beautiful morning pacing around the course completing 1 to 6 laps.The placegetters in each distance were:

1.75km
Female – Isobel Curran 8:10, Lacey Curran 8:38, Kim Roweth 10:19.
Male – Angus Finlay 8:13, Baden Curran 11:14, John Hannan 16:01.

3.5km

Female – Nicola Blore 26:08, Claire Gates 28:16, Kelly Gleeson 28:41.

Female – Leanne Corcoran 34:26, Kinisha Roweth 36:52, Angela Kauter 48:46.

For our usual Wednesday run, 47 members raced around Elephant Park in the highly humid afternoon completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three males were Jack Daintith 10:00, Peter Finlay 10:13 and Chris Clough 10:59. The top three females were Nicola Blore 12:36, Amy Robinson 13:17 and Kinisha Roweth 13:55. Well done everyone. No personal bests were recorded this week.

This Sunday’s run is one of our favourites at Clergate. Reminder it is Mother’s Day so bring your mother out for some walking or running. You must start between 8:30 and 9am and the distances marked out will be 3km, 5km, 7.5km and 10km. Wednesday runs will commence at 4pm and you can run any time after that as long as you are finished by 5:30pm.
