EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 17th September 2022

Last Sunday 49 members attended Lake Canobolas for the clubs Sunday run, The course was a wet in patches around the lake and caution had to be taken from all participating runners. The course was a 2.5km lap around the lake, which members had the choice of 1-4 laps of the course. Coffee and snacks were a treat at the lake side café for those interested.

Female – Nicola Blore 51:43, Ayako Kusui 54:31, Kim Jarvis 1:06:07
Male – Luke Hockey 42:44, Jack Daintith 48:40, Eddie Feeney 50:40

 

For our usual Wednesday run 22 members attended Elephant Park completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three men were Jack Daintith 9:50, Peter Finlay 9:57 and Luke Hockey 10:51. The top three women were Kim Jarvis 15:26, Sarah Passey 17:30 and Rhonda Jones 18:05.

Achievement Medals were awarded to Maxwell Horne with 75 runs and Trevor Jones 200 runs.

A reminder to all members, friends and family and the broader community the 2023 Orange Running Festival registrations are now open. Register yourself, family and friends and choose your challenge or training event for the upcoming year.

This Sunday’s run is at Hiney Road, where members have the choice of 2.4, 5, 7.6 or 10km runs. This is a mostly dirt road course so precaution must be taken and please be aware of oncoming traffic and give way. Please ensure appropriate footwear and attire is worn as the current weather conditions are slightly unpredictable.
