Perpetual trophy winners update – Due to the trophy being recently returned, a huge congratulations to Alicia Anlezark (2020) and Kim Roweth (2021) who were awarded most improved overall from the previous two years.

Sunday morning was hot and dry but to their credit, 55 members attended the run at Favell Road.

The leading club members in each distance were:

Female – Denise Quinlan 33:16, Olivia Blore 36:57, Emily Blore 36:57.

Male – Gary Taylor 22:08, Trevor Jones 30:21, John Hannan 36:13.

5.5km
Female – Kinisha Roweth 32:36, Kim Roweth 35:05, Claire Gates 37:22.
Male – Jai Anlezark 29:15, Nick Roweth 32:36, Zachary Barteom 33:32.

8.1km
Female – Milla Jurd 54:55, Sue Klose 55:06, Kelly Jurd 56:11.

Male – Jack Daintith 34:46, Patrick Blair 42:28, Hugh Daintith 46:14.

11.1km
Female – Lauren Reid 44:28, Alicia Anlezark 1:06:34, Ayako Kusui 1:07:13.

Male – Mark Thomas 52:36, Eddie Feeney 57:11, Daryl Roweth 1:02:28.

 

Wednesday’s Elephant Park run proved to be very different conditions, windy, a little cool and the odd drop of rain. 36 members managed to start and finish completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three males were Chris Pooley 10:25, Mark Thomas 11:31 and Eddie Feeney 12:25. Completing the top three ladies were Nicola Blore 13:08, Alicia Anlezark 14:16 and Claire Gates 14:55.

Congratulations to our achievement medal receivers this week: Duncan Blair 25 runs, Jocelyn Blair 25 runs, Patrick Blair 25 runs and Russell Tym with 700 runs.

This Sunday’s run is location is one of our club’s favourite runs, Clergate. Come along and join us for 3km, 5km, 7.5km or 10km, all being out and back tracks, with the start between 8:30am and 9am. Please check the website for more course information. Safety warning for snakes if it is a warm morning.

Please mark in your calendar the following Sunday where we will celebrate our annual run at Highland Heritage.

All members please note that it is your responsibility to mark down the distance you ran for the Sunday runs. Sheets are provided at the finish line and if you do not indicate, we will assume it is the least distance you have completed.

Wednesday runs will commence at 4pm and you can run any time after that as long as you are finished by 5:30pm.

The Orange Running Festival is getting closer. 5th and 6th of March 2022 at Gosling Creek. Get yourself entered on the festival website, there is a distance for everyone.
