EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 27th May 2023

Last Sunday 49 runners and walkers braved the drizzly cold conditions at Berrilee Forest, with the choice of 2km, 4km, 8.1km or 12km.

The fastest in each distance were:

Female – Lacey Curran 10:54 (NEW Course record), Clara Hooper 15:28, Sharyn Mitselburg 15:54
Male – Peter Gates 17:15, Lachlan Irwin 17:27, George Rutledge 19:52

4km
Female – Isobel Curran 19:47, Kate Harris 22:13, Kim Roweth 22:36
Male – Nick Irwin 20:05, Alex Irwin 20:06, Nicholas Thomas 23:08

8.1km
Female – Kate Hook 50:10, Sue Klose 51:45, Kim Jarvis 51:54
Male – Iain McLean 35:55, Brad Simmons 40:57, Matt Alexander 44:08

Female – Ayako Kusui 01:03:58, Jannell Hooper 01:08:38, Alison Spurway 01:14:39

Congratulations to Lacey Curran who broke the Female 2km record at Berrilee forest.

For this week’s Wednesday run 86 members attended Elephant Park. Members completed 1, 2 or 3 laps. The top three men were Peter Finlay 10:21, Jack Daintith 10:38 and Danny Boulton 10:41. The top three women were Rhianna Hume 12:32, Nicola Blore 12:40 and Isobel Curran 13:35.

3km Personal Bests were achieved by Henry Charge 11:24 (29 seconds), Neece Carrigan 14:26 (7 seconds) and Carey Colgan 16:38 (16 seconds).

Achievement medals were awarded to Alex McLean with 100 runs, Jessica Curran with 75 runs, Holly Curran with 50 runs, Chris Clough with 50 runs and a big congrats to Kim Roweth achieving 900 runs.

This Sunday’s run is at scenic Lake Canobolas where runners can choose from 1-4 laps of the 2.5km course around the lake.
