On Sunday morning fifty runners club members travelled to the Byng Church start line for the run up to and along Favell Road, with the fastest runners over the various distances being:

3km – female – Amber Rich 14:07, Milla Jurd 15:46, Lucy Jurd 18:58

Male – Brian Penrose 23:08, Trevor Jones 24:44, John Hannan 32:02

5.5km – Female – Belinda McCauley 31:59, Bridget Cole 33:47, Celeste Cunningham 34:15

Male – Peter Finlay 23:23, Anthony Daintith 29:05, Trent Brown 38:17

8.1km – female – Kim Jarvis 55:50, Anna Daintith 1:01:48, Judy Tarleton 1:09:03

Male – Scott Bebbington 45:25, Mike Cooper 49:37, Richard Hogg 52:09

11.3km – female – Carissa Hickey 57:34, Alison Spurway 1:08:55

Male – Brad Simmons 55:52, James West 56:10, Joel Broadfoot 57:27

Handicap winner was George Rutledge who completed the 8.1km distance in 1:00:28.

 

On Wednesday at Elephant Park eighty three starters took on the 3 laps of the Elephant Park track with Mitch Williamson 9:20 proving to clearly be the quickest ahead of the consistent Brad Simmons 10:46 and Jack Daintith 11:35 coming in with the third fastest time.

Leanne Corcoran 11:37 was the fastest of the ladies with Carissa Hickey 12:14 and Isabella Hopping 12:48 finishing in the minor placings. Overall winner was Jean Meiring who ran 14:35 for the 3 laps which was a 33s personal best.

Other PB’s were recorded by Kim Roweth 10s, Becky Went 3s and Emily Meiring 32s.

Congratulations to President Anthony Daintith who was recognised for completing 800 club runs.

 

This Sunday the club run will be held at Bargwanna Road, starting at 9am, with 3km, 5km, and 10km distances available.

 

Time is running out to enter the Orange Running Festival on March 7 & 8 so make sure you get your entry in if you want to run but also volunteers for the weekend will be gratefully accepted, so either way get involved to make it a great weekend.
