EDITORIAL REPORT FOR SATURDAY’s CWD July 3rd, 2021

Thank you to everyone for adhering to the new covid restrictions/ rules this week. Due to these current restrictions put in place – briefings on a Wednesday and Sunday are cancelled. Please arrive, run and leave, wearing a mask or a buff covering your mouth and nose whilst attending our runs, before and after.
Last Sunday, 43 members masked up and headed to Lake Canobolas to exercise around the track completing 1, 2, 3 or 4 laps.
The leading club members in each distance were:

Male – Mike Cooper 14:!2, Gary Taylor 18:06.

Female – Kate Thornton 30:44, Samantha Pluymers 31:46, Claire Gates 33:35
Male – Hugh Daintith 24:50, Mitchell Essex 27:04, Tony Fitzpatrick 34:35.
7.5km
Male – Peter Finlay 31:48, Mark Thomas 34:06, Peter Regan 42:58.
10km
Female – Courtney Hayes 50:49, Ayako Kusui 52:44, Amy Robinson 55:19
Male – Jack Daintith 41:41, Tim Robinson 43:43, Derek Thompson 44:38.
ELEPHANT PARK WEDNESDAY
The wind blew and the cold breeze was a constant but 53 members still took to Elephant Park to run or walk around the track completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three males were Jack Daintith 10:09, Baxter Brown 10:28 and Joel Broadfoot 11:02. Completing the top three ladies were Amy Robinson 12:03, Leanne Corcoran 12:38 and Courtney Hayes 13:36.
Personal bests were recorded this week by Will Robinson 1m27s, Claire Gates 7s, Lydia Parker 4s and Colette Robinson 1m2s.
NEXT SUNDAY RUN
Tomorrow’s run is at Pinnacle. Distances marked out will be 3km, 7km and 10km. Also putting out a reminder, that we are still operating under COVID-19 regulations. On Wednesday’s, timing begins at 4pm and will cease at 5:15pm. On Sunday’s, you must start between 8.30am and 9am. On both days still encouraging members to arrive, run and depart.

The safety guideline for this week is to be aware of cars and/ or motorbikes on the track and move to the side when they pass.
