EDITORIAL REPORT FOR SATURDAY’s CWD October 30th, 2021

Last Sunday, in the heat 44 members headed along the dirt road at Pinnacle. The three distances marked out for members set a good variety of choice.
The leading club members in each distance were:

3km
Female – Alicia Anlezark 16:40, Kinisha Roweth 17:18, Claire Gates 16:24.
Male – Simon Lun 17:35, James Thomas 18:28, Greg Shapter 20:51.

7km
Female – Leanne Corcoran 36:26, Samantha Pluymers 45:29, Kim Roweth 46:36.
Male – Peter Finlay 29:21, Peter Hyde 36:56, Hugh Daintith 37:32.

10km
Female – Luisa Sims 1:01:12, Juste Kucinskaite 1:07:18, Alison Spurway 1:09:28.
Male – Jack Daintith 43:15, Iain Mclean 46:42, Brad Simmons 52:17.

Reminder: We are back to slightly normal runs, with rules though. You must show proof of being fully vaccinated before you can participate, and you must use the QR code to check in.

On a sunny Wednesday afternoon 52 fully vaxxed members took to the track at Elephant Park to complete 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three males were Jack Daintith 9:58, Peter Finlay 10:06 and Mitchell Essex 12:13. Completing the top three ladies were Luisa Sims 14:15, Yonneka Hill 14:35 and Samantha Pluymers 15:07.

Personal bests were recorded this week by Peter Finlay 2secs, Yonneka Hill 31secs, Jarvis Lloyd 9secs, Mitchell Lloyd 8secs and Paige Alexander 3min29secs.

Congratulations to our achievement medal receivers this week: Samantha Pluymers 50 runs, Hayden Hyde 75 runs, Peter Regan 75 runs, Peter Finlay 100 runs, Lyn O’Mara 200 runs, Jack Daintith 800 runs, Daryl Roweth 900 runs and Sheree Ryan 1000 runs.

This Sunday’s run has been changed to Gosling Creek with the start between 8:30am and 9am. The distances marked out will include 2.3km, 4.6km and 9.6km. This Sunday we are also being lucky enough to have a coffee van at the run for a post run treat. Wednesday runs will commence at 4pm and you can run any time after that as long as you are finished by 5:30pm.
