EDITORIAL REPORT FOR SATURDAY’s CWD November 6th, 2021

On a sunny and tough Sunday morning, 58 members arrived at Gosling Creek to take on their run/ walk. For a number of members the most joyous part of the morning was finishing and a coffee van being right there to supply you with a treat.

The leading club members in each distance were:

Female – Kinisha Roweth 41:18, Sue Klose 48:12, Kim Roweth 48:59.

Male – Peter Hyde 37:18, Hugh Daintith 39:42, Mike Cooper 40:58.

Female – Nicola Blore 53:31, Jen Owens 1:09:30, Sarah Passey 1:13:00.

Male – Jack Daintith 45:06, Peter Finlay 46:24, Brad Simmons 51:48.

Reminder: We are back to slightly normal runs, with rules though. You must show proof of being fully vaccinated before you can participate, and you must use the QR code to check in.

On the first Wednesday afternoon of November in 2021, 51 fully vaccinated members took to the track at Elephant Park to complete 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three males were Jack Daintith 9:47, Peter Finlay 9:59 and Luke Hockey 10:25. Completing the top three ladies were Nicola Blore 12:43, Yonneka Hill 14:16 and Lydia Parker 14:18.

Personal bests were recorded this week by Kim Roweth 14secs, Peter Finlay 7secs, Yonneka Hill 19secs and Lydia Parker 36secs.

Congratulations to our achievement medal receivers this week: Emily Blore 25 runs, Abigail Mudge 50 runs, Sarah Passey 50 runs and Anna Daintith 800 runs.

This Sunday’s run is located at Shiralee with the start between 8:30am and 9am. The distances available will include 2km, 4km, 8km and 12km. Please ensure you park your cars safely at this location as there is not a lot of parking space close to the start. Wednesday runs will commence at 4pm and you can run any time after that as long as you are finished by 5:30pm.

Reminder about the Christmas party/ presentation dinner at Waratahs on the 4th of December at 6pm. Please remember to book your spot for a great night.
