Last Sunday, Orange Runners Club had its weekend run at Bulgas Road. 66 members in attendance had a choice of 3km, 5km and 10km distances taking Suma Park Dam, and Kinross Forest. The first three finishers by gender for each distance are as follows:
3k – Men: Mitch Essex (11:36), Lachlan Ross (11:32) and Noah Lamrock (13:48). Women: Tanya Connolly (17:09) Joy Harvey (17:56) and Alicia Ross (19:54).
5k – Men: Hugh Daintith (24:04), Hugh Corcoran (24:19) and Jamie Corcoran (25:09). Women: Leanne Corcoran (22:35), Ella Lamrock (23:39) and Lily Craig (24:04).
10k – Men: Felix Koeppen (45:57), Brad Simmons (48:35), and Joel Kitto (52:12). Women: Ursula Wilson (48:32), Nicola Bailey (61:07) and Danielle Klingberg (61:27).
Congratulations to all who participated, Cameron Ross was declared the winner.
The Wednesday afternoon Elephant Park 2.9k handicap event saw 58 competitors take part in chilly, breezy conditions. The fastest men were Rikky Bangert (10:40), Elliot Bangert (11:45), and Jack Daintith (11:52). The fastest ladies were Ella Lamrock (12:27) Ursula Wilson (12:45) and Lily Craig (12:47). Fastest lap of the 958m circuit was clocked by Rikky Bangert at 3:25. PBs were achieved by Elliot Bangery (7s), Lily Bangert (1:26), Logan Whiteley (7s), Greg Shapter (28s), Steve Pearson (1:12), and Emily Pearson (1:41). Steve Pearson was declared the overall winner. Well done to all who took part.
This Sunday sees the club at Berrilee Road, where members will have a choice of a hilly 4k or 8.1k. This event will commence at 9am. Please be advised that as of next week, the Wednesday Handicap Time Trial run at Elephant Park will commence at 4:45pm with a mass start. This Wednesday start time will be in place until the last run in August.
