EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 6th April 2024

On Easter Sunday 51 members took on the hilly course at Favell Road. The fastest in each distance were:

Female: Kelly Jurd 22:07, Erin Botha 22:27, Emily Blore 22:55
Male: James Carey 23:28, Felix Carey 3:31, Jesse Taylor 25:39

Female: Lucy Jurd 30:20, Evie Harris 30:20, Milla Jurd 30:20
Male: Chris Clough 27:51, Quinn Lingier 28:18, Alex Irwin 30:22

Female: Amy Crosbie 44:18, Jannell Hooper 51:16, Kate Harris 51:25
Male: Iain Mclean 37:10, Daryl Roweth 45:19, Terry Clarke 48:29

Male: Hugh Daintith 50:51, Maxwell Horne 53:45, Gareth Thomas 1:04:16

79 members attended this week’s Wednesday run. The top three men were Peter Finlay 10:24, Nick Irwin 11:41, Jack Daintith 11:46. The top three women were Isobel Curran 13:01, Evie Harris 14:05, Kate Harris 14:32.

PB’s this week for Austen Haar 14:00 (35 seconds), Ethan Petschel 15:01 (35 seconds) and Elisa Petschel 26:20 (47 seconds). Well done to everyone.

Achievement medals were awarded to George Rutledge for 300 runs and Jack Daintith for an incredible 1000 runs – Jack has been running with the club since he was 11 years old!

Good luck to Jack and the many other members who will be tackling the Canberra Marathon this weekend.

For those here in Orange, tomorrow’s run is at Stagecoach Road where members can run 2km, 3km, 5km, 8km or 12km. See you there!
