It was blue sky and sunshine for 100 members on Sunday morning at Clergate.

We welcomed Billy Grambeau & Peter Finlay who had their first runs with the club.

Achievement medals were awarded to:

Abigail McLean – 50 Club Runs, Tom Hosie – 50 Club Runs, Rhonda Jones – 75 Club Runs and Alicia Anlezark – 75 Club Runs

3K Female – Milla Jurd 13:46. Lucy Jurd 15:22. Kim Bradfoot 18:48.

Male – Billy Yeo 16:26. Michael Sharp 17:27. Neil Yeo 19:25.

5K Female – Alicia Ross 20:50. Kelly Gleeson 23:12. Kylie Duncan 24:53.

Male – James West 22:01. Blake Gleeson 22:03. Oliver McLean 22:33.

7.5K Female – Rosemary Elkington 47:06. Kelly Jurd 47:15. Michelle Whiteley 47:30.

Male – Joel Bradfoot 34:48. Brenton Anthony 43:18. Wayne Stewart 44:54.

10K Female – Leanne Corcoran 45:40. Carissa Hickey 48:22. Ursula Wilson 54:01.

Male – Chris Harrington 36:47. Iain McLean 42:32. Sam Harma 46:22.

The speedy Chris Harrington was declared the handicap winner.

 

75 starters took on the Wednesday Elephant Park club run with the overall handicap winner was the relatively new member Brenton Anthony, who has been very impressive in recent weeks, ran a solid 13:32 which was a 1m37s improvement on his previous best time. The fastest runners on the night were Connor Whiteley 8:57 and Rikky Bangert 9:56, with Joel Broadfoot keeping them honest with an 11:18 for his 3 laps. Next to finish were the two fastest ladies with only a second between them as Alicia Ross 11:26 crossing the mats just ahead of Carissa Hickey 11:27. Abby Dean took the third spot with a very consistent three laps giving her a total time of 11:49. All 3 ladies recording Personal Bests, with Alicia 18s, Carissa 1s and Abby 2s.

Other PB’s were recorded by:  Clifford Smith 14s, Sarah Scanlon 20s, Alison Turnbull 16s, Billy Yeo 4s and Kelly Jurd 24s.

 

Good luck to all members who are competing on the Gold Coast this weekend and looking forward to seeing the results of some great training.

 

This weekend will see the Sunday Club run at the Botanic Gardens starting at 9am with many distances available, ranging from 1 -6 laps of the 1.6km course.
