EDITORIAL REPORT FOR CWD Saturday 28th January 2023

Last Sunday’s run was at Lake Canobolas where 57 members attended this lap course around the always beautiful Lake Canobolas. Each lap was 2.5km long and members and guests had the choice of 1-4 laps of this course.

 

The fastest in each distance were:

 

2.5km

Female – Kinisha Roweth 12:10, Sophie Charge 14:15, Evie Harris 18:09

Male – Toby Miller 16:50, Cameron Harris 18:11, John Moss 27:22

 

5.0km
Female – Tanya Miller 28:35, Rosemary Elkington 31:39, Samantha Pluymers 32:28

Male – Nick Irwin 20:30, Cameron Ross 23:22, Henry Charge 24:13

 

7.5km
Female – Francesca Biggs 41:01, Claire Gates 45:42, Kim Roweth 46:54

Male – Chris Clough 35:32, Hugh Daintith 37:37, Terry Clarke 43:50

 

10km
Female – Nicola Blore 49:38, Danielle Klingberg 57:05, Kim Jarvis 1:07:05

Male – Jack Daintith 40:27, Daryl Roweth 49:38, Mike Cooper 54:08

 

For our usual Wednesday run 65 members attended Elephant Park completing 1, 2 or 3 laps. Top three men were Nick Irwin 10:31, Peter Finlay 11:06 and Mark Thomas 11:16. The top three women were Isobel Curran 12:21, Skye Napier 12:21 and Jannell Hooper 14:40.

Personal bests were achieved by Evie Harris by 4:15 and Catherine Player by 10 seconds

Achievement medals this were awarded to Rosemary Elkington with 75 runs.

This Sunday’s run is at Stagecoach Road, this is a hilly course and has a mix of bitumen, dirt and gravel road surfaces, please take all necessary precautions on this course and always be aware of traffic. Members and guests have the choice of 2, 3, 5, 8 or 12km for this run.

Some of our members have attended the 2023 NSW Country Championships in Dubbo last weekend. On behalf of the club, we congratulate everyone on participating in this event and hope some great results came from this event.
