With Lockdown continuing this week we hope everyone is staying safe and keeping up with some form of exercising. Well done to those who completed the various distances in the virtual Dubbo Stampede over last weekend.
This weekend will see the virtual run at Spring Creek Dam with the usual distances of 2.4km, 4.8km, 7.2km and 9.6km. As the course cannot be fully marked out it is suggested you carry a measuring device but we will endeavour to have some sort of mark put at the 2.4km/ second lap of 7.2km turnaround. You will be able to do your run anytime between Saturday and the Wednesday cut off time to get your run time and distance to Micheal (by 3pm Wednesday 8th Sept).
From Wednesday just gone to this Wednesday it is also available to members to do a virtual trail run at Berrilee of the distance 11km.
Trail running coordinator Mitch Essex has ever so kindly placed out some pink tape markers along the track. More details were included in the email sent out from President Judy. Again, please send your time to Michael (by 10am Thursday 9th Sept).
Please remember to wear a mask to and from the run and carry your mask with you during the run and follow the covid rules for running with family members or individually with 1 friend and maintaining safe distancing. At either the Spring Creek Dam run, or the trail run, if you are a father, please submit a photo of yourself completing the run. This can be sent to our ORC Facebook page to go into the Father’s Day draw.
Information on the course can be found on the Orange Runners Club website and updates will be provided through the Runners Club email.
Please continue to check the website, Facebook and watch your emails for more information on all of our club activities and news.
